mmm its getting autumny

i love it when the wheather gets just cool enough and grey enough for it to feel all mysterious and autumny. i love wearing my scarf and coat, i have worn my coat alot any way this "summer" but now its cool enough for my scarf... hat will surely follow soon. woo any ways i digress.. its just i was just enoying a massive hot chocolate and thought woo its autumn yay! i was also dressed so preppy today- that ALSO always happens around this season cos its all "back to school" feeling. i was wearing a pleated skirt thick purple tights my brogue shoes and a mustard coloured cardigan! woo preppy chilly autumn goodness. colourful preppy but preppy nonetheless.
in other news tommorow i will be venturing to bristol, probably to go to my happiest place on earth the bristol museum which has awesome taxidermy galore AND these amazing maps with over sized dogs!! i will post pictures tomoro and also to this gallery http://sparror.cubecinema.com/here/gallery.html

fleeting trip to the big smoke

i went for a quick visit to see mister philip in london on monday, we started the day with a crazy cake and cup of kwoffee- i was not impressed with the cake and they forgot to put the foam on my macchiato, bt everything looked os cute that i couldnt really complain, see how philip's arm matches the colour of the cups. he kept matching stuff all day in that shirt! hehe! it was lucky he was wearing something bright as we were silly and didnt think to arrange somewhere to meet- i guess we all just reley on phones to meet people these days, any way i strolled to euston where i was going to meet him somewhere and waited for a call or text to say where he was, BUT i had forgotten my bad luck with mobiles recently and for some reason my phone froze and i couldnt do anything, get the message or make a call or even get a number. so i wondered around the station thinking "yikes" i will never find him, and just as i was using a pay phone- those relics of the past- to call the only number i know- my mum- how the heck did i think that would help? i spotted mister turquise! yay for bright coloured boyfriends. he also fixed my ohone within seconds!
this other oicture is of a brass thing on a shop building i think on regent street- i like it and WILL be drawing animals tied up in ribbons!

what i been up to today

for anyone who might be interested. they are a little on the dark side! sorry.

so i am off to cafe bullshit in a mo for my dull afternoon shift which kicks off a whole weekend of work, everyone at the coffee shop seems to have run away for the bank holiday weekend leaving me alone- alas- frothing coffee by my self! oh well think of the dollars!

ooo i am excited/ scared cos me and philip are organising a little trip to maybe paris for a few weekends from now. i dont enjoy making plans but i do enjoy doing fun stuff so i gotta get over my fear of planning.

i am a line addict. i cant stop drawing lines and texture and i thought- "okay nuff's enuff with the lines already" and i thought i might go a bit easy on the lines in my work. an di must say this new self imposed restriction has surfaced some pretty pleasing results... well at least they please me but i would love to know if they make any one else happy!

working on a painting.... i dont think i like it!

for my summer project at uni i gots to do some large scale drawings. so i decided to try painting... i am not sure i am loving this, this is a portrait in progress... any feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)

knitted treats hustled for me

well as i mentioned the highlight of so called Field Day festival was the knitted treats that Philip hustled for me. mmmm knitted cookies! yum. here they are in their new habitat.

rainy weekend in london- but i still miss and love the big smoke

So i went to field day festival on saturday and it was a bit of a wash out if i am honest- the picture is of me looking drowned! it was cold and the sound system was terrible in the dance tent :( but i still had a super fun time with my fella, drinking red stripe and eating cakes. they had a whole village fate thing going on and philip "won" me some knitted cakes, biscuits and donuts. when i say won he just kept asking the vendors for them! he must be a charmer! hello new week, i wish it was friday!

so these are my latest drawing escapades. birds and bows and birds and an anatomical body! i think i like the "muscle" picture. might work on it more i think. this weekend i worked at the coffee shop and went to see Walle which was good to begin with but then i got bored and decided i would prefer to have a nap! i also watched control-http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3471571/Control/Product.html last night which i thought was so so good but did make me kinda not like Ian Curtis! maybe i should feel bad about that? my fella is such a joy division fan- he has a tattoo of script around his wrist which says "love will tear us apart" i call him an emo for this! but truthfully its pretty.

i am a massive Wes Anderon fan- i think rushmore and royal tenebaums are in my top five movies. i also love Anderson's soundtracks and purchased the soundtrack to the darjeeling limited yesterday... http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/3496412/The-Darjeeling-Limited-Original-Soundtrack/Product.html i defy you to be sad if you listen to track 14 "typewriter tip tip tip" its AMAZING!
